Located in Saitama, Japan, this 7,131-square-meter complex, completed in 2007, features nine screens with a total capacity of 1,665 seats, distinguished by its unique integration of cultural and educational elements within a commercial cinema setting. The design, conceived by Ichiro Katami and Kunihisa Akiyama, breaks conventional cinema design paradigms through its museum-like white lobby, contrasted with black carpeting, creating an art gallery atmosphere that challenges visitors' expectations. A standout feature is its 70-meter glazed projection room, allowing visitors to observe the technical aspects of film projection, complemented by a dedicated Cinema Museum displaying historical projection equipment including 35mm projectors, xenon lamps, and various film formats.
