Umi Emotional Connection Products is an innovative digital communication system that transforms abstract emotions into tangible experiences through a combination of physical objects and interactive technology. Developed by designer Sizhe Huang, this groundbreaking interface design redefines the way people connect emotionally in the digital age by bridging the gap between virtual interactions and human touch. The system comprises three main components: the Umi Pebble, a haptic device measuring 46x46x16mm that provides realistic touch sensations; the Umi Nest, a 40x40x60mm companion device equipped with NFC and Bluetooth technology for voice message playback; and a sophisticated mobile application compatible with iOS and Apple Watch platforms. The design addresses the paradox of modern digital connectivity leading to emotional isolation by incorporating advanced haptic feedback technology, sensory materials, and machine learning algorithms to create authentic, tactile experiences.
