This 100-square-meter interior space, designed by AS Design Four Lau and Sam Sum, seamlessly integrates playful exploration with high-end retail functionality, featuring an ingenious combination of metallic painting, wooden veneer, stainless steel in golden color, leather, and emulsion painting. The design philosophy transcends traditional retail constraints by incorporating interactive spatial elements that stimulate children's imagination and creativity through architectural features inspired by the modular construction toy system. The store's aesthetic combines natural colors with sophisticated golden accents, creating a harmonious balance between luxury and accessibility while maintaining a child-friendly atmosphere. The innovative metal structure design, though challenging to implement, represents a significant achievement in combining practical installation requirements with cost-effectiveness. This Gold A' Design Award-winning project, completed in June 2015 in Macau, exemplifies excellence in retail interior design by creating an environment where children are considered the primary guests, encouraging exploration and creativity within a luxury retail context. The space successfully merges high-end fashion retail with interactive design elements, featuring carefully considered lighting, material selection, and spatial organization that creates an engaging shopping experience while maintaining the sophistication expected of a luxury children's wear boutique.
