Ufo Table

Ufo Table is an innovative furniture design that harmoniously combines glass, metal, and wood elements to create a distinctive and functional piece. Created by Ukrainian designer Viktor Kovtun, this table embodies the philosophy of bringing positive emotions through unexpected material combinations and unique design approaches. The table features a wooden bowl base with strategically angled metal tubes installed to support a glass tabletop, creating an aesthetically pleasing visual interplay between materials. With dimensions of 907 x 907 x 650 millimeters, the table's design emphasizes lightness and simplicity while maintaining full functionality. A notable feature of the Ufo Table is its modular construction, allowing for complete disassembly and reassembly, enhancing its practicality and versatility in various settings. The design, which earned an Iron A' Design Award in the Fine Arts and Art Installation Design category, represents a successful fusion of artistic expression and practical furniture design. The table's conception emerged from a two-month experimental development process, reflecting the designer's commitment to creating furniture that evokes positive emotions while maintaining simplicity in production. The design's universal appeal lies in its clean lines, innovative material usage, and the successful balance between form and function, making it a significant contribution to contemporary furniture design that bridges the gap between artistic installation and practical furniture piece.
