Trex Poster is an innovative visual communication design project that seamlessly integrates scientific principles with artistic expression, created to promote an advanced engine technology for an international academic conference. Designed by Han Liu under the academic direction of Professor Kyle Jiang, this 700mm x 1000mm digital print masterfully illustrates the revolutionary aspects of engine design through sophisticated visual elements. The poster's conceptual foundation draws inspiration from the elegant efficiency of nature, specifically comparing the featured engine technology to a lotus growing in a pond, symbolizing evolution and innovation in mechanical engineering. The design employs advanced mathematical concepts, particularly B-Spline curves and surfaces, to visualize complex technical improvements in engine efficiency, including a 30% increase in compressor power and enhanced airflow dynamics. Through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) visualization and artistic interpretation, the poster successfully bridges the gap between scientific communication and aesthetic appeal. The project, completed between October 2018 and July 2019 in the United Kingdom, demonstrates exceptional prowess in combining technical precision with visual artistry. The poster's significance extends beyond mere visual representation, serving as an interface between science and art while effectively communicating complex engineering concepts to a broader audience.
