Treasure In A Forest Residential Apartment

Treasure In A Forest Residential Apartment

Treasure in a Forest Residential Apartment is an award-winning residential interior design project located in Miaoli City, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates natural materials and textures to create a harmonious living space. The 70-square-meter apartment, designed by Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan, draws inspiration from the surrounding mountainous landscape of Miaoli City, embodying the concept of discovering a peaceful sanctuary within nature. The design features a distinctive entrance marked by gently curved wooden surfaces that seamlessly transition into functional elements, including a welcoming seating area for removing shoes and a bar counter adjacent to the kitchen. The space incorporates sophisticated material combinations, including dark stone cladding, wood panels, and Corian artificial marble, creating a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere. A notable design element is the rotatable TV shelf, which ingeniously divides the living room from the study area while offering flexible viewing options for both the living room sofa and dining table. The interior layout encompasses a thoughtfully arranged dining area, living room, master bedroom, and guest bedroom, with each space carefully crafted to maximize functionality while maintaining aesthetic excellence. The project, completed between 2015 and 2018, represents a significant contribution to sustainable residential design in Taiwan and was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for its innovative use of space and exceptional material selection.
