This sophisticated engineering solution, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Product Engineering and Technical Design category, features a distinctive red and white color scheme that serves both functional and instructional purposes, enabling users to easily identify operational components. The design incorporates a compact form factor measuring 83mm x 56mm x 83mm when closed, expanding to 83mm x 56mm x 180mm when opened, with a precise hose replacement space of 22.4mm. Constructed using Ixef1022 material, the pump head employs a roller-based peristaltic mechanism to facilitate fluid movement through the hose without direct contact with the transmitted liquid, ensuring optimal sanitation and safety. The design's primary innovation lies in its unique opening mechanism and drive connection system, featuring a spring-loaded self-locking mechanism that provides tactile feedback during installation. The system accommodates No.13-17 hoses through an elastic clamping structure, while its distinctive red components serve as intuitive indicators for operational zones. This thoughtful integration of form and function represents a significant advancement in fluid transmission technology, particularly valuable in laboratory and industrial applications where precise fluid control and easy maintenance are essential. The design's development, completed between April 2021 and February 2022, focused on addressing user feedback regarding hose replacement and pump head dismantling, resulting in a solution that significantly enhances operational efficiency and user experience through its visualization and humanization features.
