Tranquil Fusion Residential

Tranquil Fusion Residential

Tranquil Fusion Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of modern aesthetics with functional living spaces, completed in September 2020 in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, Taiwan. The design, conceived by Yu Fen Lee, masterfully employs a sophisticated grayscale color palette enhanced by meticulous metallic lighting to create a serene and contemplative living environment. The project's distinctive approach to spatial organization utilizes transparent elements and glass materials extensively, maximizing natural light penetration while maintaining privacy through thoughtful material transitions. The design philosophy centers on the concept of family harmony, achieved through the strategic implementation of open-plan layouts and the innovative use of an intermediary Nakajima space that facilitates fluid communication between family members. Notable technical features include the integration of Energy Recovery Ventilators for maintaining optimal air quality, and the incorporation of pet-friendly elements such as dedicated cat passages. The material palette combines iron accessories, wood elements, and aluminum-framed glass, all unified under a carefully curated grayscale color scheme that creates visual cohesion throughout the space. This residential project, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to environmental considerations through its use of non-toxic building materials, water-based paints, and emphasis on natural lighting, while successfully balancing the diverse preferences of its male and female clients through thoughtful design solutions.
