Track Residential
Track Residential is an award-winning interior design project completed in 2016 in Taipei, Taiwan, that exemplifies modern residential architecture through its innovative use of glass, wooden textures, and metal elements. The design, conceived by Peter Cheng and Sam Tsai, spans an impressive 60 meters in width, 105 meters in depth, and reaches a height of 3.95 meters, creating a sophisticated living space that harmoniously blends contemporary aesthetics with humanistic elements. The project's distinguishing feature is its strategic implementation of glass partitions that extend from the ground floor to the upper level, establishing a seamless visual connection throughout the space while optimizing natural light penetration. The design's emphasis on vertical lines and high ceilings facilitates efficient traffic flow, while the thoughtful integration of materials, including cultured stone, quartz tiles, and wood flooring, contributes to a cohesive aesthetic experience. The elevated floor design, complemented by ceiling windows, allows natural sunlight to flood the interior, creating an atmosphere of warmth and openness. This residential project, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning and material selection that effectively bridges modern design principles with comfortable living requirements. The design's success lies in its ability to create dialogue between interior spaces through reflective surfaces while maintaining a strong focus on functionality and aesthetic appeal.
