Tré Nesting Tables is an innovative furniture design consisting of a set of two solid wood nesting tables that exemplify the harmonious fusion of nautical inspiration and functional aesthetics. Created by German-based designer Valeriano Villegas Goyos, these tables feature distinctive triangular top surfaces with rounded corners, each mounted on a three-leg base, drawing inspiration from the 17th-century Bermuda sloop sailing vessels. The design masterfully combines geometric elements - circles, triangles, and rectangles - in a minimalist yet sophisticated composition that serves both practical and aesthetic purposes. Crafted from premium solid wood species including walnut, ash, oak, and maple, the tables demonstrate exceptional versatility in their application, functioning either as standalone pieces or as an integrated set. The larger table measures 90mm x 60mm x 60mm, while the smaller companion piece is proportioned at 66mm x 44mm x 45mm, dimensions that have been carefully calculated to ensure optimal functionality and visual balance. The design's versatility is further enhanced by its ability to complement various living space configurations, including placement alongside sofas or as independent accent pieces. This work, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, represents a thoughtful exploration of form, function, and craftsmanship, showcasing the designer's expertise in combining traditional woodworking techniques with contemporary design sensibilities.
