Top Time Office Office
Top Time Office Office is an innovative architectural renovation project that transforms a historic industrial space into a multifunctional creative hub for film and television professionals in Beijing. The 541-square-meter interior space masterfully preserves the original structural elements of the factory building while introducing contemporary design elements that serve both aesthetic and functional purposes. Designed by Bo Li, the project exemplifies a sophisticated approach to adaptive reuse, incorporating multiple exquisite colorful glass boxes, steel plates, and bars in a thoughtfully deconstructed and reconstructed composition. The design philosophy emphasizes authenticity in historical preservation while introducing modern functionality through careful spatial planning and innovative material selection. The interior features a predominantly white color scheme punctuated by specially designed overlong working drop-lights and scattered suspension ceiling lamps, creating a dynamic visual rhythm throughout the space. The project, completed in 2012, successfully integrates various functional zones including meeting areas, workspaces, make-up rooms, fitting areas, and reception spaces, all unified through coherent design language. Ancient black bricks salvaged from old Beijing buildings were incorporated to maintain historical context, while contemporary materials like stained glass and steel were introduced to achieve a modern aesthetic. The space is particularly notable for its innovative approach to natural light manipulation and its ability to facilitate interaction between different functional areas while maintaining necessary privacy and workflow efficiency. This exceptional design achievement was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to adaptive reuse and contemporary workplace design.
