Toji Candle Boxes

Toji Candle Boxes

Toji Candle Boxes is an innovative packaging design solution that represents a significant advancement in candle presentation and storytelling through design. This sophisticated packaging system, created by designer Xiaoman Fu in collaboration with illustrator Cyan Hong, features a distinctive architectural approach that harmoniously combines form and function. The boxes, measuring 100mm x 100mm x 120mm, are crafted from premium 1000g cardboard and incorporate several innovative design elements, including an arc-cut front panel that creates a strategic viewing window, enhancing the connection between the exterior design and interior illustrations. The design concept draws profound inspiration from the Magyar people's Карачун Day traditions, utilizing the sundial as a brand symbol and exploring themes of humanity through four distinct narratives representing courage, trust, eternity, and love. The boxes employ a sophisticated color palette of low-saturation blue, pink, yellow, and orange-brown, complemented by premium finishing techniques including frosting processes and gold stamping for interior illustrations. This Silver A' Design Award-winning creation in the Packaging Design category demonstrates exceptional innovation in its structural design, requiring extensive prototyping to achieve its unique form factor. The packaging system's thoughtful hierarchy of visual elements, combined with its premium material execution and cultural storytelling elements, establishes a new paradigm in luxury candle packaging design, effectively bridging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities.
