Together Residential House

Together Residential House

Together Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project completed in Taiwan that exemplifies the harmonious integration of shared and private spaces for a family of five. The design philosophy centers on the concept of togetherness, manifesting through thoughtfully clustered communal areas that promote family interaction while maintaining individual privacy. Spanning 182 square meters, this Iron A' Design Award-winning project showcases sophisticated material integration, including scraped wood surfaces with mild gray tones, ceramic plates, metal, titanium, stone, wenge wood, iron, and glass. The design's distinctive horizontal plat pattern symbolically represents the lying down together concept, while the public spaces - living room, dining area, and kitchen - are unified in a trinity-like arrangement that facilitates natural family gatherings and conversations. The project, designed by Ding-Rui Tai and Yun-Hsiang Tsao, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its seamless connectivity between communal areas and private spaces, achieved through careful construction calculations and harmonious material integration. Completed in December 2017, the design successfully balances the competing demands of collective family life and individual privacy, creating a sophisticated living environment that adapts to both shared and personal moments. The project's innovative approach to residential design earned recognition at the A' Design Award and Competition in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, highlighting its contribution to contemporary residential architecture and its successful interpretation of modern family living requirements.
