Tiny Turtle Decorative Candle Holder

Tiny Turtle Decorative Candle Holder

Tiny Turtle Decorative Candle Holder is an innovative and minimalist tabletop accessory designed by Elkan Nuri, exemplifying the harmonious fusion of form and function in contemporary furniture design. This elegant piece, crafted from a single sheet of 1.5mm DKP metal through precise laser cutting and strategic bending techniques, takes its inspiration from the endearing sight of a turtle carrying weight on its back, translating this natural observation into a functional design element. The holder's distinctive features include an elevated platform that prevents heat damage to underlying surfaces, a specially designed circular depression on the turtle's back that ensures stable candle placement, and an ergonomically conceived head portion that serves as a carrying handle. Standing at 4cm in height, with dimensions of 10cm in length and 6cm in width, the design demonstrates remarkable efficiency in its construction methodology, utilizing electrostatic painting for durability and aesthetic appeal. The product, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, addresses several practical challenges associated with tealight candle usage, including heat protection, stability, and portability. Its design philosophy emphasizes purity and simplicity while maintaining full functionality, making it not only a practical lighting solution but also an artistic decorative element that can enhance various interior settings. The innovative approach to manufacturing, requiring minimal resources and simple production techniques, aligns with sustainable design principles while delivering a product that serves both functional and aesthetic purposes in contemporary home decor.
