Timeless Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of classical elegance and contemporary luxury in residential architecture. Completed in May 2022 in Taiwan, this 165.2-square-meter apartment showcases a sophisticated design approach centered around curved elements and refined materiality. The project, conceived by designer Kan-Shih Lee, transforms a standard high-rise apartment into an opulent living space through thoughtful spatial planning and meticulous attention to detail. The design's distinctive features include rounded corners that seamlessly connect various areas, creating a fluid circulation pattern throughout the residence. The public spaces are characterized by a magnificent combination of gray and blue tones, enhanced by the strategic use of metallic finishes in gold and silver, while the private areas employ gray and purple hues to establish a more intimate atmosphere. The material palette is carefully curated, featuring premium elements such as titanium-plated metal surfaces, which offer a silky smooth tactile experience superior to traditional baking paint finishes, and natural marble used for gathering spaces. The project's lighting design is particularly noteworthy, incorporating LED light strips within hand-painted circular curves and sensor-activated corridor illumination that responds to movement. The design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and material selection. The project's success lies in its ability to balance grandeur with functionality, featuring customized spaces such as a dedicated tea area and an enhanced dressing room, while maintaining a cohesive design language throughout the residence.
