Tic Art Exhibition Center

Tic Art Exhibition Center

Tic Art Exhibition Center is a landmark architectural project that exemplifies innovative integration of contemporary design with traditional Chinese craftsmanship, completed in 2021 in Foshan, China. This Gold A' Design Award-winning complex encompasses 16,000 square meters of landscape area and 8,000 square meters of building space, distinguished by its groundbreaking approach to sustainable architecture and cultural preservation. The center's design philosophy masterfully combines landscape, architecture, interior spaces, and product design, featuring a revolutionary double-layer curtain wall system that incorporates traditional clay bricks with modern structural solutions. The facade's distinctive mesh-like pattern, created through equilateral triangular modules, reduces heat conduction by 30% while providing natural light filtration. A significant architectural achievement is its 29-meter span arch, constructed using cantilever beams and innovative folding slab techniques. The project's environmental consciousness is evident in its passive design elements and the revival of hand-made brick production techniques, establishing new standards for eco-friendly public architecture. The interior spaces feature intelligent preset light film ceilings and custom lighting installations inspired by traditional Chinese domestic elements, creating a harmonious blend of contemporary functionality and cultural heritage. The center's valley passageway design enables flexible spatial utilization while maintaining uninterrupted visitor flow, making it a significant contribution to urban development and architectural innovation.
