The Way Of Philosophy Residential Condo

The Way Of Philosophy Residential Condo

The Way of Philosophy Residential Condo is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully embodies Oriental philosophical principles through its thoughtful spatial arrangement and material selection. Located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, this 219-square-meter living space demonstrates a sophisticated interplay between motion and stillness, achieved through the strategic partial separation of entrance, living room, and dining areas while maintaining spatial continuity through innovative material transitions. The design's distinctive approach manifests in the seamless extension of marble textures from the entrance to the living room, complemented by wood veneer that flows from the hallway to the dining area, creating a harmonious dialogue between contrasting elements. The project's philosophical depth is evident in its treatment of private spaces, where soft materials replace marble in the bedrooms, symbolizing a gradual transition into more intimate areas and reflecting the residents' journey from public to private realms. Environmental consciousness is integrated through the selection of eco-friendly construction materials, while the incorporation of natural elements extends from indoor spaces to the balcony, establishing a balanced ecosystem within the living environment. The design, completed between September 2016 and April 2017, earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, acknowledging its innovative approach to residential space design and its successful integration of philosophical concepts with practical living requirements.
