The Things Stainless Steel Bowls is an innovative set of five polygonal vessels that masterfully combines functional tableware with philosophical artistry, designed by Hong Kong-based designer Irene Yeung. This sophisticated collection, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category in 2021, draws profound inspiration from Zhuangzi's philosophical concept of The Equality of Things and Zen principles. Each bowl in the set, crafted from premium SUS316 (SS18/10) stainless steel with dimensions of 141mm length, 105mm width, and 116mm height, appears distinctly different yet is fundamentally identical in construction, with only the orientation of the opening plane varying between pieces. The design's conceptual depth is manifested through its representation of the Five Elements - Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth - while its mirror-polished exterior and unconventional geometric form challenge traditional tableware aesthetics. The production process employs advanced laser cutting and welding techniques, overcoming significant manufacturing challenges due to the complex polygonal structure.
