The Realm Series Customizable Home Cloakroom
The Realm Series Customizable Home Cloakroom is an innovative furniture design solution that revolutionizes traditional wardrobe systems through its distinctive cylindrical aluminum profile structure and modular composition. This sophisticated cloakroom system, designed by Xu Taixin, Huang Zixin, and Huang Xianting, seamlessly integrates aesthetic appeal with functional versatility, measuring 8000mm in length, 550mm in width, and 2700mm in height. The design's distinguishing feature lies in its circular design elements, which successfully mitigate the typically austere appearance of aluminum furniture while maintaining the material's inherent stability and lightweight properties. The system incorporates advanced technical solutions, such as concealed tracks and conductive rails within the cylindrical aluminum structure, enabling height adjustments without requiring rewiring or additional processing. The modular design philosophy allows for flexible combinations of drawer modules, storage sections for varying clothing lengths, and customizable racks, accommodating diverse spatial requirements and user preferences. The cloakroom's material palette combines aluminum, leather, solid wood veneer, and paint finishes, offering four distinct color schemes that cater to different aesthetic preferences, from sophisticated business environments to more subtle residential settings. This design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, represents a significant advancement in home storage solutions, particularly notable for its innovative approach to combining Italian-inspired aluminum furnishing elements with traditional Chinese functional requirements. The integration of semi-circular laminate profiles and built-in arc handles further enhances its user-centric design approach, while its modular nature facilitates customization for various spatial configurations.
