The Piedmont Sales Center is a sophisticated architectural and interior design project completed in 2018, representing a harmonious blend of traditional Southern Chinese cultural elements with contemporary design principles. Located in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, this 655-square-meter facility serves as both a sales center and business reception area, comprising a thoughtfully designed complex of villa zones and tower blocks. The design, created by renowned interior architect Raynon Chiu, draws inspiration from the scenic landscapes of Southern China, incorporating elements such as black bricks, grey tiles, and traditional beam-column construction methods while reimagining them in a modern context. The facility's innovative layout spans four floors, equally distributed between ground level and underground, featuring a distinctive entry point at the negative layer that creates a more intuitive visitor flow. The interior spaces showcase a masterful integration of materials including marble, metal, wood veneer, and aluminum rectangular tubes, while custom-designed features such as rotating grilles with push-and-pull functionality provide sophisticated lighting control. The project, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in spatial planning and cultural integration, particularly notable for its progressive corridor landscape that evokes the essence of Lingnan culture. The design successfully creates an atmosphere where natural elements and architectural sophistication coexist, offering visitors a tranquil experience that reflects the project's philosophical foundation of connecting with mountains, rivers, and nature.
