The Pavilia Hill Premium Condominium Landscape

The Pavilia Hill Premium Condominium Landscape

The Pavilia Hill Premium Condominium Landscape is an innovative urban sanctuary designed by renowned Japanese landscape architect Shunmyo Masuno, embodying the harmonious fusion of contemporary urban elements with traditional Japanese garden principles. Spanning approximately 3,000 square meters, this premium residential landscape masterfully integrates the Zen concept of San Sui Ni Sei On Ari (the pure sounds found in mountains and waters) into its design philosophy, creating a therapeutic environment that addresses the modern urban dweller's need for natural healing spaces. The design's distinctive approach combines straight lines representing urban elements with curved forms symbolizing nature, primarily utilizing Aji stone and black granite to create a cohesive aesthetic dialogue. A notable feature is the meditation room, where cascading water creates both visual and acoustic experiences, contributing to the multisensory landscape experience. The project, completed between November 2015 and March 2016, strategically positions itself between mountain and sea, serving as a transitional space between natural and urban environments. The landscape's sophisticated design incorporates carefully selected plantings, strategically placed stones, and the therapeutic sounds of running water, all working in concert to create an environment that naturally influences residents' psychological well-being. This exceptional work, which received the Platinum A' Design Award in the Landscape Planning and Garden Design category, demonstrates remarkable innovation in creating spiritually enriching spaces within urban contexts, successfully addressing the challenge of balancing material luxury with spiritual wealth in contemporary landscape design.
