The Parametric Wave Restaurant is an innovative architectural and interior design project that exemplifies the fusion of parametric design methodology with experiential dining spaces. This sophisticated restaurant design, created by Sushant Verma and Anchal Chaudhary, transforms a 2,300-square-foot space into an immersive underwater dining experience through the strategic implementation of computational design techniques and digital fabrication methods. The design's distinctive feature is its dynamic wave-like structure, composed of 287 precisely CNC-cut rubber-wood fins that create fluid, undulating forms throughout the space. The restaurant's centerpiece includes a dramatically positioned faux sunken boat and 318 origami-style brass boats suspended from the ceiling, each equipped with LED fixtures controlled by DMX lighting technology to create varying atmospheric moods. The space accommodates 88 covers across multiple zones, with seating areas thoughtfully divided using strategic color schemes and fabric selections to ensure visual privacy while maintaining an open atmosphere. The design incorporates a sophisticated bar area and stage assembled through horizontal stacking of rubber-wood boards, forming a sculptural wave element that serves as both functional space and artistic statement. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases innovative solutions for integrating technical requirements such as HVAC ducts and electrical systems within its aesthetic framework. The restaurant's exterior features a distinctive recessed balcony-style terrace with 15-foot folding doors that can adapt to accommodate live performances, demonstrating a remarkable synthesis of form and function in contemporary restaurant design.
