The Nude Flat Residential House
The Nude Flat Residential House is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Cycladic architecture with contemporary minimalist aesthetics. Located in Hong Kong and completed in 2022, this 1,468-square-meter sanctuary was masterfully crafted by designers Maggie Mo and Jay Leung, drawing inspiration from the pure, sculptural forms of Greek Cycladic culture. The design's distinctive features include curvaceous walls finished with hand-painted stucco patterns, organic lotus-patterned wooden floors, and a complete absence of sharp angles, creating a fluid, sensual living environment. The interior space demonstrates exceptional attention to detail through its carefully curated elements, including a Portuguese handcrafted chandelier and a brass marble dining table that adds sophisticated contrast to the serene, beige-toned environment. The project involved a significant spatial reconfiguration, transforming a three-bedroom layout into a more luxurious arrangement featuring an expansive main suite with a wellness-inspired bathroom and jacuzzi. The material palette incorporates premium elements such as pink hue marble, Calcutta marble, and seamless artificial Ottostone, all carefully selected to maintain the design's cohesive aesthetic. Recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, this residential project stands out for its innovative approach to spatial design, masterful integration of natural light, and sophisticated interpretation of classical Mediterranean architectural elements in a contemporary context. The design successfully creates a harmonious living environment that balances aesthetic beauty with functional sophistication, exemplifying how traditional architectural influences can be reimagined for modern living spaces.
