Created by designer Ece Yilmaz, this sophisticated piece exemplifies the principle of form follows function through its thoughtful integration of storage solutions and user-centered design elements. The table's distinctive features include a strategically positioned mirror that eliminates the need for users to lean forward while applying makeup, complemented by an intelligently designed cabinet system that provides unobstructed access to cosmetics during use. The design incorporates walnut-veneered hidden storage compartments that seamlessly extend from the sides of the mirror, specifically designed for jewelry storage, while the main body serves as a dedicated space for handbag placement. Constructed using white matt/gloss finish MDF and walnut veneer particle board, with bronze-finished metal profile X-shaped legs that can alternatively be crafted in solid walnut, the piece measures 100cm in width, 30cm in depth, and 170cm in height. The design's excellence has been recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to solving everyday storage challenges while maintaining aesthetic appeal. The development process involved extensive research among women aged 22 to 58, focusing on their daily habits and storage needs in small living spaces, resulting in a design that successfully breaks conventional dressing table paradigms while offering practical solutions for modern living.
