The Mix Of Sunlight And Plants Cooperative Space Design
The Mix of Sunlight and Plants Cooperative Space Design is an innovative architectural and interior design concept that seamlessly integrates natural elements with contemporary workspace functionality, realized in the Taipei Neihu Technology Park. This sophisticated design approach, created by Jolin Wang and Chia-Jui Hsu, exemplifies the harmonious fusion of technology and humanity through its thoughtful incorporation of biophilic elements and sustainable design principles. The 580-square-meter space features a distinctive vertical green building facade with strategically placed convex balconies every four floors, supporting extensive plantings that serve both aesthetic and practical purposes. The design's core philosophy manifests through the metaphor of a technology tree, emphasizing the connection between modern business requirements and environmental consciousness. Notable architectural elements include a double-slab top floor with 140-meter soil depth for arbor cultivation, dedicated meeting spaces, and rest areas that promote work-life balance. The building's orientation maximizes natural light exposure through its east, west, and north-facing green facades, while the south area incorporates energy-efficient activity spaces connected by sunlight-filled halls. A significant feature of this Silver A' Design Award-winning project is its ground-level plaza, designed around the concept of recess and circulation, creating a vibrant community space where the building actively engages with its surroundings. The design's innovative approach extends to its aesthetic details, incorporating leaf-shaped night lighting, trunk-inspired decorative elements, and artistic wall treatments that complement the glass curtain walls, resulting in a cohesive architectural statement that bridges the gap between urban development and natural elements.
