The Majestically Artistic Residence

The Majestically Artistic Residence

The Majestically Artistic Residence is an exemplary interior design project that masterfully integrates art and intelligent technology, creating a sophisticated living space that transcends conventional residential design boundaries. Located in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, this 198-square-meter residence, designed by Ming-Yi Wang, represents a harmonious fusion of Oriental and Western design elements, manifested through thoughtfully curated objects and architectural lines throughout the space. The design philosophy centers on the concept of multiple frames, drawing inspiration from Copenhagen porcelain exhibitions, featuring linked wooden trims around the ceiling that create a sense of unity and spatial grandeur. The interior scheme employs a refined color palette of white and coffee tones, complemented by custom display cabinets crafted from stainless steel and wooden veneers, enhanced by multi-colored diamond bricks and glass elements. Notable design features include an artistically rendered crocodile skin wall treatment behind the couch, crystal chandeliers, and intricate rice patterns that pay homage to both European royal aesthetics and Chinese cultural elements. This innovative residential project, which was completed in December 2015 and subsequently honored with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning that seamlessly integrates the client's collection of classical artworks while creating a living environment that embodies the philosophy that art is about life; life is about art.
