The Magic Ship Of The Orient Multimedia Videos

The Magic Ship Of The Orient Multimedia Videos is a groundbreaking multimedia stage production that seamlessly integrates Eastern cultural elements with cutting-edge digital technology, premiered during the 2023 World Design Capital Conference in Shanghai. This innovative performance piece, directed by Wu Liang, features a monumental spacecraft constructed from traditional Chinese elements such as folding fans and pipa instruments, presented on a massive U-shaped screen spanning 80 meters in width and complemented by a top array screen measuring 1150x1150 centimeters. The production employs sophisticated technological solutions including three-dimensional animation, AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content), and naked-eye 3D technology to create an immersive experience that transports audiences through time and space, showcasing dynamic representations of traditional Chinese landscapes, phoenixes, gardens, and contemporary Shanghai architecture. The work serves as a backdrop for a fashion show featuring over 60 models, with AI-generated animations synchronously responding to the clothing designs, creating a harmonious dialogue between virtual and physical elements. This technically complex production, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design category, represents a significant achievement in cross-disciplinary collaboration, bringing together experts in visual communication design, digital media art, fashion design, artificial intelligence, and performance arts to create a 30-minute spectacle that redefines the boundaries of traditional stage design and cultural presentation.
