The Hoyu Headquarter And Office
The Hoyu Headquarter and Office is an exemplary architectural and interior design project located in the Zhongshan District of Taipei city, distinguished by its innovative fusion of automotive aesthetics and Chinese cultural elements. Situated atop a commercial building with distinctive diagonal triangular glass curtain walls, this 650-square-meter headquarters masterfully incorporates streamlined forms inspired by automotive design, reflecting its connection to the automotive agency industry. The design philosophy seamlessly integrates the principles of Chinese Bagua, a Taoist cosmological system, through the strategic arrangement of wooden slats alongside windows, creating a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow that symbolizes the broken and unbroken lines of the trigrams. The interior spaces feature sophisticated material selections, including travertine walls with triangular voids, matte titanium ceiling cladding, and glossy marble flooring, all working in harmony to create a contemporary yet culturally rooted atmosphere. A notable aspect of the design is its landscape integration, featuring a water pond that reflects the building and surrounding vegetation, establishing a profound connection between built form and natural elements. The project, designed by Szu-Wei Lee and recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and cultural integration, while demonstrating innovative approaches to corporate architecture that balances functionality with aesthetic sophistication.
