The Home Of Bobo Residential
The Home of Bobo Residential is an innovative interior design project completed in Chongqing, China, that reimagines contemporary urban living spaces through thoughtful architectural intervention and sophisticated design elements. This 150-square-meter residential project, conceived and executed by designer Deng Zhichao, represents a deliberate departure from homogenized commercial real estate developments, offering a unique solution to modern living requirements. The design's primary concept revolves around transparency and transformation, achieved through the strategic removal of walls in the original two-loft structure, resulting in an expansive, light-filled environment. The interior architecture masterfully balances open-plan living on the first floor, incorporating seamlessly connected living, dining, and kitchen areas, while the second floor maintains privacy through intelligent glass installations that preserve spatial fluidity. The material palette demonstrates exceptional sophistication, combining twill laminate flooring with varnished boards, marble elements, and carefully selected textiles, creating a harmonious interplay of textures and surfaces. The color scheme employs ethereal dark green tones complemented by restrained white elements, establishing a sophisticated layered aesthetic that embodies the less is more philosophy. Particularly noteworthy is the design's innovative solution for displaying the owner's travel collections, incorporating versatile display elements within the space without compromising its clean, contemporary aesthetic. This project, completed between August 2018 and May 2019, earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial design and innovative approach to residential architecture.
