The Grandeur Of Bungalow In Penthouse Residential House

The Grandeur of Bungalow in Penthouse Residential House is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully combines contemporary aesthetics with traditional Gujarati cultural elements, spanning an impressive 3,436 square feet of built-up area. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2020, represents a significant achievement in penthouse design, characterized by its innovative use of natural textures and materials including beaten copper, traditional fabrics, polished and unpolished kota stone, exposed brick, and concrete. The design's distinctive feature is its east-facing vertical fins system, which creates a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow throughout the day while ensuring optimal cross-ventilation. The interior space is anchored by statement pieces such as a prominent Pichwai art installation and a traditional wooden swing, seamlessly integrating cultural elements into a modern living space. The project's spatial planning demonstrates exceptional ingenuity, particularly in its triple-height central area and thoughtfully arranged public spaces, all achieved while respecting the existing structural framework of the building. Designer Vishakha Shah's approach emphasizes the creation of a tranquil urban oasis that stands in stark contrast to its bustling city surroundings, utilizing a sophisticated palette that ranges from pastel to vibrant shades. The design's success lies in its ability to create a harmonious balance between contemporary luxury and traditional elements, while maintaining functionality and comfort through careful attention to natural lighting, ventilation, and spatial flow.
