The Fluidity Of Space Classroom
The Fluidity of Space Classroom is an innovative educational environment design that revolutionizes traditional teaching spaces through its dynamic and adaptable architecture, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. This transformative project divides the learning environment into six distinct educational areas encompassing science, technology, robotics, mechanics, art, and mathematics, while maintaining a cohesive spatial flow that encourages student interaction and creative thinking. The design employs sophisticated elements such as smooth linear features, circular curves, and intelligent lighting systems to create a technologically advanced atmosphere that breaks away from conventional classroom layouts. Notable features include glass sliding doors for enhanced spatial integration, three large-scale bright yellow circular lines with built-in light sources, and auto-retractable power supplies that provide flexible functionality throughout the space. The project's lighting scheme utilizes precise angle calculations for light refraction, creating three-dimensional geometric effects through the interplay of dark metal surfaces, glass walls, and gray flooring. The implementation of streamlined configurations, curved light strips, and geometrical floor panel patterns demonstrates a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality, while movable teaching trolleys, multi-layered mobile whiteboards, and portable furniture ensure adaptability for various teaching methodologies. Completed in 2019 in Taiwan, this design by Wei-Ju Wang represents a significant advancement in educational space planning, emphasizing the importance of spatial fluidity and technological integration in modern pedagogy.
