The Dawn of Time Club is an exemplary architectural and interior design achievement that represents a sophisticated fusion of classic elements and contemporary luxury in private club design. Located in Kunming's Guandu District, this distinguished establishment spans 280 square meters across three meticulously crafted floors, serving as an exclusive wine and cigar club that epitomizes refined leisure and high-end business entertainment. The design, conceived by Jack Su and Derrick Huang, masterfully incorporates Gothic architectural elements reinterpreted through a modern lens, featuring a striking entrance marked by a Roman column with an emblematic clock that introduces the temporal theme pervading the space. The interior showcases an expertly curated material palette comprising grey decoration panels, white paint, black wood, and sophisticated bronze and dark green accents, creating an atmosphere of understated elegance. Notable technical innovations include a state-of-the-art thermostat system maintaining optimal temperature and humidity levels for wine and cigar preservation, while pine wood cigar cabinets add warmth to the environment. The third floor's design ingenuity is particularly evident in its incorporation of three reversible glass doors connecting the intimate cigar bar with an outdoor terrace, effectively resolving spatial challenges while enhancing functionality. This exceptional project, completed in November 2017, earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to commercial interior design and its successful creation of an sophisticated environment that harmoniously balances classic architectural elements with contemporary luxury.
