The Crafted Urban Sunroom Residential Flat
The Crafted Urban Sunroom Residential flat is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies contemporary urban living through its thoughtful integration of natural light, spatial flexibility, and sophisticated materiality. This 132-square-meter two-bedroom apartment represents a significant achievement in modern residential design, particularly notable for its innovative approach to accommodating a family of three and their pet dachshund. The design's distinctive features include strategically implemented floor zoning and varied partition strategies that create continuous circulation while maintaining distinct room identities. The project showcases exceptional material craftsmanship through its custom terrazzo flooring, incorporating precisely engineered brass dividers that serve both functional and aesthetic purposes. A defining characteristic is the parametric brick wall pattern, which demonstrates technical innovation in construction methodology while enhancing visual interest. The interior's sophisticated design language is expressed through rich materiality and a carefully curated color palette, representing a contemporary interpretation of traditional construction techniques. The project's emphasis on natural illumination is achieved through the optimization of continuous glazing on two sides of the flat, transforming what was originally a confined space into an expansive, light-filled environment. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project, recognized in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates excellence in spatial planning, particularly in its creation of playful circulation patterns and visual connections that enhance the living experience for both children and pets while maintaining sophisticated aesthetic standards.
