The Cloud Office For Aviators
The Cloud Office for Aviators is an innovative architectural and interior design project comprising two 48-floor towers designed to serve as the headquarters for an aviation company, accommodating 10,000 people within its 162,800 square meters of space. This ambitious project, conceived in 2017 in Shenzhen, China, represents a groundbreaking approach to corporate architecture by seamlessly integrating the theme of flight into its spatial design philosophy. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, transforms everyday movements within the building into metaphorical flying journeys, creating an immersive experience that reflects the aviation industry's spirit. The project's distinctive features include a unique flying zone that doubles as both a drone testing facility and recreational space, utilizing advanced stage equipment technology adapted from theater design. The interior architecture emphasizes sustainability and wellness, incorporating LEED and WELL qualification standards, while featuring extensive amenities including a gym, daycare facilities, outdoor gardens, and an innovative indoor flying garden. Designed by Vicky Chan and team, the project demonstrates remarkable future-proofing capabilities through its flexible spatial arrangement, which can adapt to accommodate either increased staffing or technological infrastructure needs. The design's circulation paths, inspired by flight trajectories, promote natural interactions between occupants while integrating advanced technological solutions for workplace efficiency. Notable elements include smart circadian lighting systems, air-purifying plants, and abundant access to natural daylight, all contributing to a healthy work environment that enhances creativity and productivity.
