The Cabin Symphonic Residential Interior
The Cabin Symphonic Residential Interior is an award-winning architectural transformation project that reimagines a traditional Polish highland log house into a contemporary multi-family vacation residence. This innovative interior design project, completed in March 2021, masterfully blends midcentury modern aesthetics with traditional highland architecture, creating a harmonious synthesis between rustic charm and modern sophistication. The 214-square-meter space underwent significant structural modifications, including the installation of an impressive 870-centimeter sliding window in the living room, supported by custom steel frames integrated with extended foundations. The design's distinctive approach draws inspiration from the concept of symphonic adaptations of rock music, where traditional elements are enhanced with new acoustic depths and dimensions. The interior features carefully curated curved shapes, custom-designed furniture pieces, and thoughtfully integrated steel elements that create a visual dialogue between the original log construction and contemporary design elements. The project's scope encompassed comprehensive spatial reorganization to accommodate multiple families comfortably, incorporating additional bedrooms, storage solutions, and bathrooms while maintaining an open, flowing layout. The design's excellence was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to space utilization, material selection, and cultural preservation. The project stands as a significant contribution to Polish interior design, demonstrating how traditional highland architecture can be respectfully modernized while maintaining its authentic character through sophisticated design interventions and careful attention to detail.
