The Begginning Book Suit is an innovative modular book design system that revolutionizes traditional reading experiences by incorporating a dual-reading functionality and transformative physical properties. This groundbreaking design consists of a folding book constructed on a precise modular grid system, which presents a narrative about the origin of a new universe inspired by the Big Bang theory, while simultaneously functioning as a wearable suit. The design employs a sophisticated 20x20 centimeter modular grid system that allows the book to transform from a compact square format into an expansive human-proportioned bird suit. Crafted in satin cardboard with golden ink embellishments, the design comprises 75 pages of research documentation, accompanied by a comprehensive package including an illustration, the transformable suit measuring 200x50 centimeters when fully opened, and a coordinating hat that expands from 20x20 centimeters to 60x60 centimeters. This exceptional work, which earned the prestigious Gold A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, represents a significant advancement in experimental book design, seamlessly merging the concepts of fashion, literature, and interactive art. The project, developed over a year-long period from January 2016 to January 2017, demonstrates remarkable technical innovation in its ability to maintain readability while incorporating complex folding mechanisms that enable the transformation from book to wearable garment, creating an entirely new category of interactive literary art that challenges conventional boundaries between text and textile.
