Texas Hold’em Theme Restaurant
Texas Hold'em Theme Restaurant is an innovative commercial space design that seamlessly integrates a gaming establishment, gourmet dining venue, and capsule hotel concept, distinguished by its sophisticated interpretation of poker culture through architectural elements. Created by designers Shou Jen Chen and Yu-Ching Chen, this 430-square-meter establishment exemplifies a harmonious fusion of entertainment and hospitality design. The spatial arrangement follows a thoughtfully planned linear flow, with the ground floor dedicated to business operations, featuring a reception counter and dining area at the entrance, transitioning into a dedicated board game playing space. The centerpiece of the gaming area comprises four professional Texas Hold'em tables, each accommodating ten players, complemented by large screens for spectator viewing. The design's aesthetic is characterized by a contemporary black color scheme, enhanced by baked paint iron structures and strategic lighting that creates a raw yet fashionable atmosphere. A distinctive architectural feature includes steel structures reminiscent of the London Bridge's cross-connections, while oversized poker card motifs suspended from the ceiling reinforce the thematic elements. The intermediate layer houses an innovative capsule hotel component, designed with a honeycomb-inspired structure and utilizing a sophisticated color palette of foggy black and honey yellow, accentuated by dark yellow projection lighting. A unique viewing window system allows guests to observe the activities below, creating an urban miniature effect. The project, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial optimization through elements such as an elevated dining platform with flexible furniture configurations and an integrated dart arena, establishing new standards in themed hospitality design.
