Terrafertil Headquarter Offices

Terrafertil Headquarter Offices

Terrafertil Headquarter Offices is an innovative architectural project completed in 2019 that exemplifies the harmonious integration of nature-inspired design within a corporate environment. Located in Quito, Ecuador, this 350-square-meter office space represents a groundbreaking approach to workplace design, earning recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The design, conceived by Aaron Leppanen and Veronica Burbano, masterfully blends organic forms with functional workspace requirements through a sophisticated system of 663 custom CNC wood panels mounted on a steel frame structure. The interior architecture plays on the relationship between workplace efficiency and environmental consciousness, featuring a dynamic mix of open and closed spaces that mirror natural growth patterns. The space is distinguished by its flowing wooden forms that create a unique spatial experience, with two primary meeting rooms, a waiting area, and a lobby showcasing the remarkable French Oak panel installation. The project overcame significant technological challenges in implementing parametric design elements within Ecuador's emerging digital fabrication landscape. The interior's material palette combines warm wood elements with industrial concrete and drywall, complemented by custom-fabricated elements including a specialized stainless steel kitchen featuring artisanal welding techniques. The design philosophy emphasizes wellness and natural elements, creating a transformative environment that seamlessly transitions between collaborative and private workspaces, while the custom textiles, wallpaper, and furniture elements further enhance the prairie-like aesthetic, demonstrating exceptional innovation in corporate interior design.
