Taekwondo Uniforms

Taekwondo uniforms, also known as doboks, are the standard attire worn by practitioners of the Korean martial art of Taekwondo. The dobok is a simple, lightweight, and loose-fitting garment that allows for a full range of motion during training and competition. The traditional dobok is made of a cotton-polyester blend fabric, which is breathable and comfortable to wear. The dobok consists of three parts: the jacket, pants, and belt. The jacket is a V-necked top that is worn over a white undershirt. The pants are loose-fitting and have an elastic waistband and drawstring for a secure fit. The belt, or ti, is worn around the waist and signifies the wearer's rank and level of expertise in Taekwondo. The color of the dobok varies depending on the wearer's rank. Beginners typically wear a white dobok, while more advanced practitioners wear a black dobok. In some schools, intermediate ranks may wear a blue or red dobok. The dobok may also feature patches or embroidery that display the wearer's school or organization. In addition to its functional purpose, the dobok also serves as a symbol of respect and discipline in Taekwondo. Wearing the dobok signifies a commitment to the principles of Taekwondo, including self-control, perseverance, and respect for others.
