Switch Table Lamp

Switch Table Lamp

Switch Table Lamp is an innovative dual-purpose lighting fixture designed by Di Lu that seamlessly integrates eye protection and ambient lighting functionalities within a single unit. This sophisticated table lamp, measuring 110mm x 150mm x 248mm, exemplifies the harmonious fusion of practical utility and symbolic design through its ingenious adjustable head mechanism. The lamp's primary innovation lies in its ability to transition between two distinct lighting modes through a simple physical adjustment: when the head is lifted, it provides focused eye-protection lighting ideal for reading and detailed work; when closed, it transforms to create diffused ambient illumination perfect for relaxation and atmospheric lighting. Constructed using high-durability biodegradable plastics, the design demonstrates a commitment to environmental consciousness while maintaining structural integrity. The lamp's versatility is particularly noteworthy in its capacity to serve multiple domestic functions, from task lighting to mood enhancement, making it an exemplary solution for contemporary living spaces. This design excellence has been recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to addressing varied lighting needs within a single, elegant form. The lamp's metaphorical design language, expressed through its lifting and closing mechanisms, creates an intuitive user experience that seamlessly guides transitions between work and relaxation modes, effectively responding to the dynamic requirements of modern lifestyles.
