Sweet Home For Traveling Family Residence Design

Sweet Home For Traveling Family Residence Design

Sweet Home for Traveling Family Residence Design is an innovative residential interior design project completed in March 2016 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, strategically located adjacent to the Taoyuan High Speed Rail Station. This sophisticated design solution, created by Ting-Yan Chen, exemplifies a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic excellence within a 119-square-meter space. The design's distinctive approach centers on an open-style strategy that seamlessly integrates various spatial characteristics while maximizing visual impact. Notable features include the thoughtfully designed public area, where the living and dining rooms converge to create an expansive atmosphere, enhanced by wooden veneer wall treatments that symbolize family unity and cooperative spirit. The design incorporates innovative elements such as three iron sliding door panels in the study room, which, when properly aligned, create a geometric painting that brings scale-based beauty into everyday living. The residence's sophisticated aesthetic is further complemented by a frosted grey back wall in the dining room, which effectively manages light reflection while establishing a metaphorical connection between migratory birds and travelers. Located in an emerging redevelopment zone, the project benefits from abundant natural light, fresh air, and panoramic views, creating an optimal living environment. The design's excellence was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2017, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential interior design and its successful integration of practical innovation with aesthetic sophistication.
