Supplement Depot Interior Design is an innovative interior architectural project completed in 2017, located at HSR Wuri Depot in Taichung City, Taiwan, encompassing 480 square meters of thoughtfully designed space that seamlessly integrates warehousing, research and development offices, and retail functionalities. The design, conceptualized and executed by Yen-Tang Lee and Hung Chen, masterfully incorporates industrial logistics aesthetics with contemporary Nordic and LOFT design elements, creating a harmonious blend of business and leisure environments. The space is distinguished by its strategic use of natural light through glass curtain walls, container-style kitchen installations, and diverse seating arrangements that include custom-designed container-inspired sofas paired with pallet-style tables. The interior's material palette features sustainable construction materials and contemporary-style metals, while composite cabinets in wood tones pay homage to the efficiency-driven logistics industry through their pallet-inspired design. The public spaces are thoughtfully arranged with group seating areas that conceptually reference shipping processes, enhanced by distinctive features such as iron barrel-decorated chairs with comfortable cushions. This innovative design approach, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully creates a sophisticated commercial environment that balances functionality with aesthetic appeal, demonstrating excellence in space utilization and environmental consciousness while maintaining a strong connection to its logistics-centered context.
