Sunbay Park Hotel

Sunbay Park Hotel

Sunbay Park Hotel is an architecturally innovative hospitality complex situated in Ninh Thuan, Vietnam, exemplifying a harmonious blend of contemporary design and traditional Champa cultural elements. The ambitious development, spanning 3.6 hectares with 282,000 square meters of gross floor area, encompasses a five-star hotel, two condotels, and extensive recreational facilities including water parks and commercial spaces. The architectural design demonstrates exceptional consideration for environmental factors and spatial optimization, featuring strategically rotated tower blocks that maximize natural ventilation and ensure sea views for all 3,100 rooms. The complex's distinctive aesthetic is characterized by fluid curves inspired by traditional local dance movements, while incorporating authentic Champa patterns and motifs throughout its architectural elements, including louvers and shading curtains that create dynamic shadow plays throughout the day. The development's innovative approach to vertical integration is evident in its multi-level connecting bridges and sky bridges at the third and fourth levels, which facilitate seamless guest circulation while preserving ground-level space for public use. The project, which commenced construction in April 2019, has garnered international recognition for its architectural excellence, including a Golden A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, acknowledging its outstanding achievement in combining functional efficiency with cultural sensitivity. The design's sustainable features include carefully calculated sun path considerations to reduce energy consumption, while its structural configuration ensures optimal urban ventilation and integration with the surrounding cityscape.
