Stripes Packaging Series is an innovative sustainable packaging solution designed by Ridzert Ingenegeren that revolutionizes the traditional approach to gift packaging design through its environmentally conscious materials and thoughtful construction. This comprehensive packaging system, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design category, consists of ten distinct gift packages specifically engineered to provide an elevated unboxing experience while maintaining complete recyclability. The design's distinguishing feature is its signature stripe pattern, which appears both on the main box and the coordinating sleeve, creating a cohesive visual identity. In contrast to conventional packaging solutions that often rely on environmentally problematic materials such as EVA foam and rare-earth magnets, this series employs recycled cardboard for the main structure and a pioneering bagasse paper tray system for product protection. The bagasse material, derived as a by-product of sugarcane processing, represents a sustainable alternative that maintains the same level of product protection while being fully recyclable with standard paper waste. Each package, measuring 188 x 137 x 41 millimeters, incorporates a sophisticated drawer box mechanism that eliminates the need for magnetic closures, instead utilizing a paper sleeve for secure closure. The design successfully addresses the contemporary challenge of creating luxury gift packaging that aligns with environmental responsibility, featuring a complete absence of plastic materials and adhesives that might impede recycling processes. The series demonstrates exceptional attention to user experience through its thoughtful organization, incorporating dedicated spaces for product documentation, accessories, and a functional cleaning cloth, while maintaining its commitment to sustainable materials and circular economy principles.
