Streamlined Arc Interior Design
Streamlined Arc Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of curved architectural elements to create a therapeutic living environment. This 99-square-meter single-story residence, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates a sophisticated approach to spatial reorganization and emotional well-being through design. The project's distinctive feature lies in its extensive use of streamlined arc shapes incorporated throughout various elements, including the ceiling, desks, dressing room glass doors, and full-length mirrors, metaphorically representing the freedom of flight while delivering visual softness. The design successfully transforms a previously fragmented layout into a cohesive living space, featuring an L-shaped circulation pattern that effectively connects multiple sections of the master bedroom. Notable design elements include a customized circular arch vista in the entryway with integrated lighting and storage solutions, architectural concrete walls with subtle grayscale textures, and innovative glass sliding doors in the study and kitchen areas that maintain visual transparency while ensuring practical functionality. The interior employs a thoughtful material palette, combining pattern tiles in the entryway with herringbone wood flooring in public areas, while the main bathroom showcases a variety of tile materials and metallic edges to achieve a sophisticated hotel-like aesthetic. The living room features a flexible metal shaft wall-mounted TV system with a ninety-degree viewing radius and projection capabilities, while the study incorporates a window-side leisure couch enveloped in wood, creating a cocoon-like space that reflects careful consideration of human psychology in design.
