Stone Rhyme Residence

Stone Rhyme Residence

Stone Rhyme Residence is an exemplary architectural and interior design project completed in Taiwan in 2023, showcasing a masterful integration of natural stone aesthetics with contemporary living spaces across five meticulously crafted floors spanning 264.4 square meters. The residence, designed by Fu-Kai Bai, demonstrates exceptional spatial harmony through its innovative use of marble collages and stone textures, creating an environment that seamlessly bridges the tranquility of mountain landscapes with modern domestic comfort. The design's distinctive features include strategically placed high ceilings and expansive glass windows that maximize natural illumination while dissolving traditional spatial boundaries. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully addressed complex architectural challenges, including the removal of an imposing false beam to restore spatial openness. Each floor serves a specific function: the ground floor as a social area, the second floor dedicated to culinary activities, the third floor housing the master bedroom, the fourth floor accommodating children's spaces, and the fifth floor featuring a versatile guest area. The designer's sophisticated approach to material selection combines various marble patterns, wooden elements, and carefully curated color schemes, with warm neutral tones in social areas transitioning to cool neutrals in private spaces. The integration of practical amenities, such as an induction hub in the kitchen and thoughtfully positioned dressing areas, reflects a deep understanding of contemporary lifestyle needs while maintaining aesthetic excellence through meticulous attention to detail and material harmony.
