Star Travel Tod Flat Residential House

Star Travel Tod Flat Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project completed in December 2022, showcasing a sophisticated approach to modern living spaces through its thoughtful integration of functionality and aesthetic appeal. Located in China, this 182-square-meter residence, designed by Tim Tan and Fiona Liu, represents a significant achievement in contemporary interior architecture, earning recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The design philosophy centers on reconstructing living attitudes from the residents' perspective, emphasizing spatial efficiency and integration through intelligent systems and strategic storage solutions. The project's distinctive feature is its large horizontal hall that seamlessly connects the living room, dining room, and study, creating an open-plan living space that facilitates family entertainment and social interaction. A notable element is the custom-designed home library wall, which serves both functional and aesthetic purposes, housing books, audio equipment, crafts, and collections that chronicle the family's life journey. The designers' approach to the space demonstrates particular attention to the cultural context, treating each element of home life as a carefully curated scene that contributes to a larger narrative representing local cultural elements. The project, which commenced in August 2022, exemplifies how modern interior design can effectively balance technological integration with warm, personalized living spaces, creating an environment that supports both contemporary lifestyle needs and traditional family values.
