Stamatakis Bakery Rebranding is an award-winning packaging design project that exemplifies the fusion of traditional bakery heritage with contemporary visual aesthetics. This comprehensive rebranding initiative, completed between May 2020 and October 2021 in Athens, centers around the concept of a lithographic representation of authentic recipes and familial memories, particularly focusing on the maternal figure of Eugenia, whose traditional baking methods and personal characteristics became central to the visual narrative. The design, created under the creative direction of Antonia Skaraki and art direction of Andreas Deskas, features a distinctive visual language that incorporates engraving techniques and a minimalist color palette of black ink with red accent elements. The packaging system encompasses various box sizes, ranging from 80x80x190mm to 320x320x70mm, along with coffee cups, bags, and napkins, all unified by a consistent design language. A notable aspect of the project's sustainability approach is the innovative reuse of paper scraps from production as decorative bows, demonstrating environmental consciousness while maintaining aesthetic appeal. The design successfully captures the essence of generational recipe preservation and artisanal baking traditions through its visual elements, earning recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its excellence in combining functional efficiency with emotional resonance and brand storytelling.
