Square Architecture Design is an innovative architectural project completed in 2017 in Taiwan, exemplifying a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and cultural symbolism. The design, conceived by architect Mei-Lin Hsu, represents a sophisticated interpretation of tea culture through architectural expression, featuring a distinctive white facade inspired by the organic form of tea trees. The structure's conceptual framework is articulated through a vertical progression, where the ground floor embodies the metaphorical roots of the tea tree, housing display areas and tasting spaces for visitors, while the second floor represents flourishing branches and leaves, accommodating private residential spaces for contemplation and business strategy development. The 150-square-meter building incorporates significant design elements including an L-shaped fishpond that symbolizes vitality and natural energy, demonstrating a thoughtful integration of water features within the architectural composition. Drawing inspiration from the Taiwan Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo, the design successfully merges traditional cultural elements with contemporary architectural language, creating a multi-functional space that serves both commercial and residential purposes.
