Spirit Measures

Spirit Measures

Spirit measures, also known as jiggers, are tools used in the preparation of alcoholic beverages. They are small measuring cups used to measure out the precise amount of spirits needed for a particular drink recipe. Spirit measures come in a variety of sizes, but they are typically double-sided, with each side measuring a different amount of liquid. The use of spirit measures is essential in the creation of consistent, high-quality cocktails. Bartenders rely on these tools to ensure that each drink they make is properly balanced and contains the correct amount of alcohol. Spirit measures are particularly important in busy bar environments, where bartenders may be making dozens of drinks in a short amount of time. By using a spirit measure, bartenders can quickly and accurately measure out the correct amount of spirits, reducing the risk of over-pouring or under-pouring. In addition to their practical use, spirit measures can also be aesthetically pleasing. Many are made from high-quality materials such as stainless steel or copper, and feature elegant designs that add to the overall presentation of a bar or cocktail. Some spirit measures even come with decorative etchings or engravings, making them a popular choice for collectors and enthusiasts. Overall, spirit measures are an essential tool for any bartender or mixologist looking to create consistent, high-quality cocktails. By providing precise measurements and reducing the risk of over-pouring or under-pouring, they help ensure that every drink is perfectly balanced and delicious.
